๐Ÿ‘ Second Prize is a free digital copy of the pattern.

This contest is an on Instagram only contest. It runs from October 27th to October 31st at Midnight PST.

You can enter on both my instagram post, AND Sarah Elizabeth Fibre Works’ post! And be sure you’re following both of us.

You Can’t Take the Country Out of the Girl was inspired by my country roots. I grew up in a town of 1,000 people on 8 acres of land, surrounded by my great uncle’s 2,000 acre ranch. Humans were vastly outnumbered by livestock ๐Ÿ˜‰

My parents and brother still live in Cherryville, so I visit often. While I’ve lived in places from Vancouver to London (Ontario! ๐Ÿ˜‰ ), I’ve always been a country girl at heart. This cowlette brings me joy, and makes me think of my childhood of riding horses and playing in the bush.

The cowl itself is knit in the round using short rows and a few decreases to create the bandana shape. It can be made with or without the fringe (but I love the fringe!), and uses less than one skein of Sarah Elizabeth Fibre Works Easy Ecowash.

So head on over to Instagram for your chance to win! We’ll be hosting a KAL starting Nov 9 … which is just enough time to see if you’re the winner of THIS giveaway before you decide if you need to order your yarn.
